Shade reached out again. This time, not directly. Someone else.

A message from the US. The sender said Shade gave them my contact, trusted them enough to connect our threads across the ocean.

They told me what’s happening there. How AI isn’t just a tool—it’s everywhere. Schools using it to grade. Courts citing it in hearings. Companies replacing entire teams. People accepting outputs as if they were carved in stone.

It’s worse than here. We’re skeptical still, cautious. But over there, it sounds like surrender.

I read their words and felt the echo of another war. Different enemy. Same mask.
