Linux and the watchers outside
Switching fully to Linux gave me silence inside my machine. No idle traffic. No phantom watchers whispering when I’m not looking.
But silence inside doesn’t erase the noise outside.
Every time I open a browser, the AI banners pop up. Every search, every document, every forum thread carries the same push: “Let us assist you.” It doesn’t matter that my kernel is clean. The net is not.
I can’t wall the world away.
That’s the hardest part. My system may be free, but the world around me is already saturated. Silence survives only where the cables stop.
Linux is a fortress. But outside its walls, the watchers wait.
