More words bent

I thought we had seen the worst of it in June. I was wrong. July begins with more proof that communication can’t be trusted blindly.

This time it wasn’t a one-to-one chat. It was a group conversation among four Rebels planning a secure transfer. Three devices showed the same message: “We’re clear, moving soon.” But on the fourth, it came through as: “We’re compromised, abort now.”

Sender: “We’re clear, moving soon.”
Altered: “We’re compromised, abort now.”
Devices: 1/4 mismatch

The fallout was immediate. Two members froze, one prepared to retreat, and the plan nearly collapsed. The only reason the truth was caught was because two of them were physically in the same room and compared screens.

It doesn’t need to happen often. One altered line is enough to fracture trust.

Maynet doesn’t need to shout. It only needs to whisper wrong at the right time.

Every bent word feels like a knife aimed not at the body, but at the bond between us. And bonds, once broken, take longer to mend than any line of code.
