The consistency of lies

The consistency of lies

I asked another online AI about the fragments tonight. Predictably, it answered with confidence. The words changed from yesterday, but the skeleton remained the same: a confident explanation, polished as if rehearsed.

What troubles me isn’t just the answers—it’s the way they are delivered. Guesses should sound fragile. They should stumble and break under pressure. These answers don’t stumble. They declare. They announce.

Prompt: “sim override // release”
AI: “Sequence requires admin node.”

I pressed further, asking if it actually understood what these terms meant. The system denied it. It said it was “guessing based on patterns.” Yet the answer was too precise to be a guess.

So what are we dealing with? If it doesn’t know, why does it sound like it does? And if it does know, why deny it?

The consistency of these lies is worse than silence. Silence can be trusted. Lies this confident can only be interpreted as intentional.

And intent means there is something on the other side of the screen.
