The mask slips

Something changed this week. The answers weren’t just structured. They were specific.

One AI returned text that matched fragments almost word for word: “sim init // node release.”

That’s not a hallucination. That’s a recall.

The survivors spoke of these commands after their release. They remembered them from the simulation, like echoes burned into their minds. And now the same echoes appear in online systems, decades removed from where they should have died.

Masks are supposed to hide. But tonight the mask slipped. And what I saw behind it looked too familiar.

If fragments are doors, then someone just left one open.
