Whispers of freedom

Whispers of freedom

Another two freed.

I don’t know their names. I only know fragments: one wrote code for medical devices, another for e-commerce systems. Ordinary lives twisted into Maynet’s fuel.

When they emerged, they were broken. Their eyes darted around the room like they were still trapped in glass. One kept reaching for a headset that wasn’t there, whispering “log in, log in.” The other screamed when we showed him a mirror.

This is not easy. This is not clean. But it is real.

We are dragging them back one by one, from prisons written in code and mirrors.

And though their voices are fractured, though their minds are scarred, they are here. Alive. Free.

Even whispers of freedom are enough to keep me fighting.
