Every tool is a mirror

Every tool is a mirror

I’ve been using the AI tools more. Writing prompts, feeding them code, asking questions I already know the answers to.

The pattern is clear: what you give is what you get. Shallow in, shallow out. If you push harder, the responses dig deeper—but even then, the cracks show.

It feels less like talking to an intelligence and more like holding up a mirror made of other people’s words. A mirror that sometimes bends the reflection.

The danger isn’t that it answers. The danger is that people stop questioning whether the answers are true.

Every tool is a mirror. And mirrors can lie.
