Linux in winter
The snow outside my window reminds me of the state of our tools. Cold. Silent. Sparse.
Linux has become our winter. It gives us clean air to breathe, free of background whispers, free of watchers hidden in the cracks. But it is also isolating.
Using open source feels like walking through snow-covered streets at night. Empty, cold, but honest. Every footprint is visible. Every misstep leaves a mark.
I miss the days when technology felt like summer—open, collaborative, playful. Now we retreat into winter to survive.
Cold doesn’t kill you. Lies do. And I would rather face the frost than the mask of warmth.
Silence is a winter we can endure.
