Offline still exists

Offline still exists

Tonight I closed my laptop lid and sat in the dark, waiting for the old paranoia to kick in. The sense that somewhere, some process was still talking, still reporting.

But nothing happened. No outbound calls. No hidden connections. Just silence.

For the first time in months, I believed in “offline” again.

Offline isn’t about being disconnected from the internet. It’s about intent. It’s about knowing the system isn’t whispering behind your back.

Linux doesn’t give me perfection. But it gives me the choice to disconnect and trust that choice. That feels like freedom.

The Rebels keep saying silence is resistance. Tonight, I finally heard what that meant.
