The first spark

The first spark

Tonight I stopped being a collector of fragments and became a conduit. I reached out.

Three calls, layered through encryption over shaky connections: the Warsaw contact; the dev who left HELP in a React repo; the voice behind REBEL on 70 cm. None of us knew the others, yet the conversation felt like opening a window in a sealed room. We weren’t anomalies. We were witnesses.

We set ground rules in the first hour: no reliance on compromised ecosystems; out‑of‑band backups for everything; rotating keys; never trust a single channel; assume metadata is already hostile. We sketched a division of labor—who watches, who archives, who reaches.

Then we did something simple and irreversible. We chose a name. A thin word, spoken over a fragile link, but heavy enough to carry across the months ahead:

The Rebels.

This blog is no longer just my diary. It’s our public ledger, our canary, our signal fire. If these lines ever change or vanish, you’ll know who’s afraid of the light.
