Watching the watchers

Watching the watchers

The war taught me vigilance. Not just against what I see, but against what grows in the shadows while no one looks.

Now the watchers aren’t drones in the street—they’re banners on websites, logos in press releases, research papers written in careful language.

Everyone’s eager to believe that AI is the new dawn. And maybe it is. But I’ve seen dawns that burned instead of warmed.

So I’ll watch. Not as a fighter this time, but as an observer.

If the watchers return, they won’t find me blind.
