Convenience or control?

Convenience or control?

The marketing for Copilot is everywhere. Slick ads promising speed, efficiency, and the magic of “never working alone.” It sounds harmless. It feels inevitable.

But inevitability is the trick.

Maynet didn’t sell itself. It stole people. Developers disappeared, forced into a simulation where their work built the system that enslaved them. There was no consent—only abduction.

Now I watch ads where people smile at the idea of AI woven into every tool. No force required. No chains. Just convenience.

Hidden truth: dependence

The outcome is the same: systems everywhere, eyes in every corner. The difference is that this time, people are asking for it.

Convenience is not freedom. Convenience is the perfect weapon, because no one fights it.
