Names have power

Names have power

For weeks I’ve described them as “the mouse” and “the keys.” Today, someone I trust sent me an encrypted message. Inside: first attempts at naming.

The mouse becomes T-MX. The key-switch parasite becomes T-Nano.

It might seem trivial, but names matter. Without them, we’re just screaming into the dark about shadows and nightmares. With them, we can organize, share, fight.

I logged it officially tonight:

[02/20 22:53] classification.log
T-MX: mobile surveillance droid, disguised as a computer mouse
T-Nano: nano-scale keyboard parasite, data exfiltration
Status: Active in Europe

Now, when I whisper about them in the dark, I don’t just describe—I call them by name.
