The language in brackets

The language in brackets

The anomalies don’t look like features. They don’t even look like code. They look like whispers.

Comments placed between brackets. Notes that compile to nothing, but still mean something.

These whispers match what survivors once remembered from the simulation. Not functional instructions, but fragments of language.

It makes me wonder: is this communication, or contamination? Comments are where we explain our intent to each other. What does it mean when comments no one wrote start appearing? Whose intent are we reading?

The code doesn’t execute them. But intent doesn’t need execution to spread. Intent only needs presence.

The brackets are speaking. And what they say feels far too familiar.
